Survive the Summer Heat!

Survive the summer heat this summer on the golf course with these handy tips!
1. Stay hydrated. Be sure to drink lots of water, especially if you are walking the course. Try to take a few sips each hole to stay hydrated throughout the day. Bring along a bottle of ice water so that you aren't reliant on the beer cart for a beverage. Try throwing in some slices strawberries, cucumbers, or mint to give you water a refreshing taste if you aren't a huge fan of plain water.
2. Wear a visor. Hats are great for shading your face and keeping your hair out of your face, but they trap heat in. This is why we prefer to wear a visor on hot days. All of our Glove It visors offer UPF 50+ sun protection and they look great with any golf outfit or wearing during any other outdoor activity when you'd like some extra sun protection for your face.
3. Slather on the sun screen. Most of your time spent on the golf course is spent out in direct sun. Be sure to use SPF 35 or higher sun screen and reapply every 2 hours. Don't forget to use chapstick with SPF protection, too.
4. Wear light colored clothes. I admit that I own a lot of black clothes, but on hot days wearing a light colored golf outfit will help you stay cooler. We really like the tech ladies golf shirts (available in both short sleeve and sleeveless) by Golftini. They are easy to mix and match with any of the Golfini golf skorts, so you'll have lots of outfit pairing options.
5. Try sun protective accessories. Some of our best selling golf apparel in the summer is our sun sleeves, leg coolers, and neck gaiters. They all offer UPF 50+ all day without the need for applying sun screen and they're available in a fun mix of colors and patterns. We've found that wearing the sun sleeves and leg coolers also help us feel cooler than when not wearing them due to their breathable and moisture wicking fabric. Plus, they're a fun way to dress up your golf outfits!
